Special note for Fall 2016:
I will be teaching Math 152 at UC Berkeley this semester, so I will not be accepting private tutoring students who are enrolled in my class (even for tutoring in different subjects) or for Math 152 tutoring (even students in other sections).
High school students:
I offer tutoring in essentially all high school math, including basic arithmetic/pre-algebra, all levels of algebra, geometry, analysis/pre-calculus, and calculus. I also work with students preparing for the SAT, ACT, and AP Calculus exams.
College students:
Lower division: I work with undergraduates in courses through the standard calculus sequence, including multivariable calculus and a first differential equations course.
Upper division: I accept students in linear algebra, abstract algebra, and combinatorics/discrete math (e.g. Math 55/110/113/114/172 at Cal) at any time. For other upper division courses, I usually only take new students near the beginning of the semester; please email to discuss.
Miscellaneous: I can also assist with improving mathematical writing, i.e. writing beautiful proofs, and learning LaTeX (the standard for math typesetting).
Other students:
I also work with middle school or late elementary school students looking for math enrichment, and I run several math enrichment groups. I have experience working with adults returning to school, and I am happy to work with students on the math or logic portions of the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.
